The best to be in Los Angeles on a Tuesday night is Da Poetry Lounge, held at Greenway Court Theatre. A place where
poets are allowed to get on stage, be themselves, perform their best poem, and most of all respect the host. I was there,
and it was a magical, live, entertaining, and exciting evening. I had a chance to stand on stage in front of a crowd of 100+
and perform my poem, "Injection" (the revised version) in the second half of the show. Poetri, the host, brought the evening
to a beginning by welcoming everyone, including those being there for the first time.

by Greenway Arts Alliance, a nonprofit professional theater company housed at the Greenway Court Theatre on the campus of
Fairfax High School in Los Angeles. Da Poetry Loung is held free of charge and is the longest running open mic' poetry and
spoken word series in the nation, the standing room onl event brings together an energetic audiences which cross all ethnic
and age boundaries.
This Important form of non-judgmental self-expression event is in a safe and way live environment,
and has made a huge positive social impact on the company. It was founded in 1996 and has been acclaimed not just in its
